I had a great time at the Nakamura Class 40th Anniversary Christmas Concert earlier this month; so much talent and enthusiasm from these young musicians. What a privilege it was to be commissioned to compose a new work for the event. This piece, Fantasy for Strings, is dedicated to Yasuki Nakamura AM as well as his students. Mr Nakamura is a revered string instrument teacher and has been pivotal in developing the Suzuki method of teaching in Australia over many decades.
