2014 Etchings Festival

This summer I was a participant composer at the Etchings Festival which takes place in the beautiful village of Auvillar in southwest France. It was a week long event where composers brought a new piece and worked with the resident ensemble, ECCE, and violist Garth Knox. Composer Mark Andre was teaching throughout the festival and we had further sessions with Beat Furrer and John Aylward. There was also time to have a break, go for a wander through the village and discover some of its rich history.

To cap off the week, our new works were performed in concert in a stunning old church by the Garonne river. It was a wonderful experience with many new friends made!

Below is recording and score sample of my piece Ripples which was premiered at the festival.
